Raising Healthy, Happy Children...

No, No, No... What Else is a Parent to Say? -- By Michele R. Acosta
A humorous look at an age old parental lament. The word no is probably the most overused word in the English language.

The Depressed Child -- Children under stress, who experience loss, or who have attentional, learning or conduct disorders are at a higher risk for depression.

Helping Children After a Disaster. -- A catastrophe or violent act is frightening to children and adults alike. It is important to acknowledge the frightening parts of the disaster when talking with a child about it. Falsely minimizing the danger will not end a child's concerns.

Children and Grief -- When a family member dies, children react differently from adults.

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) -- In children and adolescents.
