1800 - Iredell Co., NC census: 3 males under 10, 1 male 10-16, 2 males 16-26,
        1 male 45 & over; 2 fe under 10, 1 fe 10-16, 1 fe 16-26, 1 fe over 45.
#672, living next door to Joseph W. Kilpatrick

In the 1800 Tax Digest, Andrew is shown as having House, valued over$100.00, 3 outbuildings, 2 acres.

His Will is dated 1810 & is proved 1814: Wf: ELIZABETH - Negro Mime & land & her portion left by her father's will.  Daus: EUPHEMIA KILPATRICK; PAMELA
KILPATRICK - Negro Dorcas; MARY MCLURE.  A bible each as they having had their part formerly.  Sons:  JOSEPH - Plantation I bought of Robert Long; JOSHUA - Negro Milus; WILLIAM - 1/3 of 147A I bought of Robert Gordon; JAMES - 2/3 of 147 A; ANDREW C. - 110 A at E end of Plantation; ALEXANDER M. - share balance with bro. ANDREW & sister, PAMELA at death of my wife or marriage.  Execs: Bro. JAMES MCCORKLE, & son JOSEPH N. KILPATRICK.  Wit: ANDREW C. KILPATRICK, ALEXANDER M. KILPATRICK, WILLIAM CHIPLEY.

1812 - Andrew revises his share to his son, Andrew C., giving him another 20
acres for a total of 130 acres.  Land had been surveyed between Will date and
this document and found to be more than "expected".  Wit.  Alexander Kilpatrick
and _______ _________ Kilpatrick (looks like Luccil Archibald Kilpatrick).

1795 - A very difficult document to read - seems to indicate that Andrew is
selling 330 A to Andrew Freeland - this land being a part of 640 A that was
granted to Joseph Kilpatrick in August 1787.  Document indicates Joseph
Kilpatrick is selling to Andrew Kilpatrick who is selling to Andrew Freeland.
The only signature is: JOSEPH KILPATRICK (no "mark") with Wit.  William Barr & Euphemia Kilpatrick. (It's possible a part of two different documents have been stapled together and are actually parts of two separate deeds.)

4)WILLIAM KILPATRICK, b. Abt. 1795, North Carolina; d. Bef. 1840, Franklin Co., Tennessee

Notes for JAMES W. KILPATRICK:
Is this the James Kilpatrick " JR" who is referred to in deed I-394, #939, 11
Feb., 1790?  A month later he's buying land from Wm. Hinton (Henson?).  Looks like  he may be the James K. who marries Fanny Henson 14 Jul 1989 per IGI & Rutherford Co., NC marriages.

Deed of Rutherford Co., NC #599, 1797 from Warner Midcalf to James Kilpatrick.  This is the same land that Joseph Dickey Kilpatrick deeds to Warner Midcalf in1795.   And part of the same land that was granted William Kilpatrick in 1770.

He appears to be the James Kilpatrick who is granted 100 acres, grant #1500,
issued 18 Dec. 1797, #1110, Entered 14 may 1797, "joining his own, Millers &
Metcalfs land on Maple Creek".

1790 - Rutherford Co., NC census: 2 males over 16; 2 fe
1800 - Rutherford Co., NC census: 1 0 0 1 0 - 1 0 1 1 0
1810 - Rutherford Co., NC census: 3 1 0 1 0 - 1 1 1 1 0 - 2
1820 - Franklin Co., TN census - James is over 45, 1 fe 26-45, 4 males 16-26,
        1 fe 16-26, 2 fe 10-16, 1 fe under 10, 1 male under 10.
1830 - in Franklin Co., TN (60-70 years old), 1 fe 50-60, 1 fe 20-30, 1 fe
        15-20, 1 fe 10-15, 1 fe under 5.  Milton, James & Wm. heads of
        household, also.
1833 - Security deed mentions M. L. Barr, Franklin Co., TN.  Land is on Beans
Creek, next to Isaac Lollar (Jr.).  James H. witnesses; John C. Dickey
holds the papers; & Joseph S. Metcalf witnesses.
1837 - J. W. Kilpatrick (by Trustee = Joseph F. Kilpatrick) selling land in
        Talladega Co., AL
1837 - James H. Kilpatrick - Franklin Co., TN
1839 - James H. sells chairs, hogs, horse - Franklin Co., TN
1840 - Talladega Co., AL w/1 son 30-40, 1 dau 10-15, James 70-80, 1 fe 50-60,
& 1 fe 60-70 (Euphemia?).  James & Euphemia are prob. in the household
with their son, James, & & an older daughter.
1843 - James W. buys land from ___McCord, 308 acres, Franklin Co., TN
8 APR 1843 - James Kilpatrick of Talladega Co., AL sells 168 A to
Sarah, Elizabeth, & Susan McCord (land in Franklin Co., TN).
1843 - 3 months later sells to: -- --- --- McCord 168 acres Talladega, AL

Perhaps some of the children listed were James' grandchildren.

Notes for EUPHEMIA KILPATRICK:
Her marriage date to James W. Kilpatrick is based on a deed she witnessed in
Iredell Co., NC 1795 for Joseph Kilpatrick who was selling land to Euphemia's
father, Andrew.  Assuming James W. would have signed with her if they had been
married, we have concluded they were not married at this time.

Probably died after 1840 - Talladega Co., AL census.

Notes for HANNAH MCCLAIN?:
According to 1880 Census, Lincoln Co. TN. District 3, she was born in Kentucky.  McClain is guess someone made for here last name because of William having that as a middle name.

Buried in the Beech Grove Cemetery at Francisco, Jackson Co., AL.  Stone is incribed with her name, "Wife of William" and "Age About 84".  I would put her birthdate more at 1804 and here date of death at 1888.
