Lens Effect

Purpose of these two images is to demonstrate the effect of a "fisheye lens" placed in front of the default camera.

The only two differences between the two images are: 1) the presence of a lens in the lower image, and 2) a change in the camera's scale factor to mitigate the magnification power of the lens.

Note the "compression" of the lower image, and the fact that the contribution of the lens allows us to see more detail over the top of the "terrain horizon" on the right hand side. Much more dramatic, however, is that the lens reveals the presence of a huge spotlight placed in the image at the location of the sun. In addition, the lens increases the contrast in the image.

On a technical note, the grass in this image is the same "wheat" texture as seen in "Nebraska Wheat."
