The recording of this tune is not real good quality, and it is not very clear what the real key is.  It falls between D and E.  I chose to transcribe it in D, since tunes in E-flat and E are both pretty uncommon, especially considering the higher position playing that is required.  In the liner notes, Ed's son says that his dad sounds like he is swearing with the fiddle on this one, though what that means I am not sure.  It's a tune worth playing, though, and the third position playing is not too difficult.
