Josh Rutsky, along with the Hoover High School Academic Team and Boosters, hosted the ASCA's first Elementary School Open.  Teams from nine schools competed, including Arab Junior High, Baldwin Arts and Academics Magnet School, Brookhaven Middle School, Cedar Ridge Middle School, East Lawrence Middle School, Gadsden Middle School, South Smiths Station Elementary School, West Point Intermediate School, and West Smiths Station Elementary School.
