A Leonard Oliver was listed in the 1795 Fauquier Co., VA tax list as a tithable of Levin Oliver. In 1796 he was a tithable of Josiah/Josiah Oliver and in 1797 and 98 he was again a tithable of Levin Oliver. He remained a taxpayer in Fauquier 1799 through 1812 then was taxpayer in Prince William County, VA. in 1813 and 1814. In about 1818, he moved to Caldwell County, KY. He married Mary Lewis in 1796 and their bond was signed by Nathan Oliver and Josias Oliver. They had at least 4 sons and three daughters.
