Feby 1816, p. 28--
of Flyns fork 300 acres pattented to Said N EDWARDS afsd. of
Allen GREENSTREET? on Tradewater river below the mouth of
Donaldsons fork including part of said fork & report therof
agreeable to law to this Court.

Ordered that Andrew GEORGE James GREER John GARY John RUCKER
& William JOHNSTON or any three being first Sworn do proceed
to view and mark out a road the nearest & best way from Andrew
GEORGEs to intersect the road leading from Hopkinsville to
Centreville as the most Convenient place, on the direction to
the Saline lick & report to this Court the Conveniences &c &c

On motion of Blake BAKER Guardian to Edmund STANLEY and Abrila?
[or Absila?] STANLEY Orphans of Perry STANLEY decd.  It is
Ordered that Hugh McRACKIN & Fidelio C. SHARP Gent. be appointed..

Augst. 1816, p. 78--
A Report of a road Beginning at the mouth of Blake BAKERs land
on the road from Eddyville to mouth little river to David
OSBORNs ferry on Cumberland River was this [day] made and
after Consideration the Same was ordered to be filed & Recorded
towit:-- and it is further Ordered that Said road be Established
and that [Arthur Jenkins crossed through] Blaker BAKER be appd.
Surveyor of that Part of the road leading from said BAKERs to
Thos GREERs mill Beginning at said BAKERs to OSBORNs ferry on
Cumberland River and that he with all the hands living within
two miles On Each side of said road do open and keep the same
in repair agreeable to law 15 feet Wide Clear & Smooth.

Ordered that Andrew DUNCAN be appd. Surveyor of that part of the
road from Blake BAKERs to GREERs Horse mill Beginning at OSBORNs
ferry on Cumberland River to said Thos. GREERs mill and that he
with all hands living within two miles On Each side therof
[con'd p. 79]do open and Keep the Same in repair 15 feet Wide
according to law.

p. 79--
On Motion of Alfred MOORE he is Permitted to give bond as a
Constable in & for Caldwell County Whereupon he here in Court
With Abner SMITH & Arthur H. DAVIS his Securities executed and
ackd. bond payable to the Commonwealth of Ky in Penalty of $1000
Conditioned according to law he Said MOORE having taken the Oaths
reqd by the Several laws & Constitution as also the Oath of Office.

Ordered that William BOWLAND be appointed a Constable for Caldwell
County upon his giving bond With John RUCKER and Martin HALL his
Securities in the sum of One thousand dollars Payable to the Com-
monwealth of Kentucky Conditioned according to law. Whereupon he
here in Court took the Several Oaths reqd by law & Exd & ackd
bond as afsd Conditioned according to law.

A Report of a Road leading from Eddyville by Way of BIGHAMs Mill
to Andrew GEORGEs was this [day] made and It is ordered that Said..

p. 86-- Jas. H. BIGHAM apptd. paymaster 84th Regt. of Militia
p. 90-- Polly NEWMAN v. Hiram PURNELL} Bastardy: he was arrested
on an "illegal day" & Court ord. he be released to go home.
p. 92-- Kizziah TERRILL widow of Eli TERRILL


November Term 1816, 2nd day,
p. 94--Isaac HARPER posts bond apptd. Constable; Jonathan
KILGORE his security.

p. 100--
Ordered that Colo. Matthew LYON be and he is hereby appointed our
agent to present to the Legislature of this State the address of
the members of this Court on the subject of the Complaint against
the present Seat of Justice in this County and the Petitions of
the people against the removal, and that he be authorized further
to Remonstrate agt. the proposed removal in such manner as may
appear to him necessary & proper.

Ordered that the Clerk of this Court bind out to Sylvanus PALMER-
Stokely Donaldson Wade HAMPTON a mulatto boy aged about four
years the 20th [or 29th?] of March last son of CLARY a mulatto
Woman of Colour until he arrives to the age of twenty one years
to learn the art & mystery of the Coopers trade in all its various
Branches & he Said PALMER to learn Said boy to read & Write So
as [to] Keep his accounts & give him what the law allows apprentices
when free

Decr 1816, p. 104--
LONG, Robert ADAMS and Jacob DOOM or any three of Whom being first
Sworn be and they are hereby appointed Commissioners to set a part
to Said Elizabeth MADISON her dower out of the tracts of land
Sold by her husband and Conveyed by him to Thos WHITE and Benja-
min EVANS lying On Cumberland River in this County & Report to this
Court.

On Motion of Levi GREER and with the leave of the Court he is ap-
pointed a Constable in & for said County Wherupon he here in Court
with Jesse JENKINS & Andrew ARNETT his Securities in the Sum of
One thousand Dollars payable to Com Ky Conditioned according to law,
he Said GREER having taken the Oaths reqd. by law &c.

On Motion of Jane BROWN one of the Executors named in the last
will and Testament of Isaac BROWN deceased, & who is Widow of said
deceased and Wm BROWN ___? with leave of the Court they here in
Court [entered] into and ackd. bond payable to Comwealth. Ky in
the Sum of Six thousand dollars Conditioned according to law with
Wm GOSSETT, & John OHARA their Securities they having taken the
Oath reqd by law as Executors with the Will Annexed

p. 106--
John McCARTY apptd. Jailor & Saml. C. CLARK "dismissed for cruel
and inhumane treatment toward a prisoner now in Jail in this County."

p. 107--
Saml. C. CLARK ordered to deliver keys of Jail, Courthouse &
Stray Pen to McCARTY.
