May 1814, p. 331--
On Motion of Mourning GILLEHEN Widow of William GILLIHEN decd
& with leave of the Court She is appointed Guardian to Robert,
Pearce, Lear & Peggy GILLEHEN Orphans & Children of the Said
William GILLEHEN decd. upon her giving bond & Security in Pen-
alty of $1000--Conditioned according to law. Whereupon She came
into Court and with Jesse BIRDSONG & Josias THITFORD her Securi-
tys entered into bond penalty afd. conditioned as the law requires

On Motion of William MORSE & with the leave of the Court he is ap-
pointed Constable for Caldwell County Whereupon he Came into Court
& with Obadiah MORSE & John DURBY [or DENLEY?] his Securities &
entered into bond in Penalty of $1000 payable to the Commonwealth
of Ky Conditioned according to law & he said Wm. took Oaths reqd.
by the Several laws & Constitution. Present B LANGSTON Esqr.

Ordered that Jesse GREER be appointed Surveyor ["of that Part"
crossed through] of the road ["leading" crossed through] from
GILLEHENs ferry on Cumbd. River to Andrew GEORGEs which road leads
>from the one place to the other & that he with all hands living
within one mile and a half on Each side therof do open and keep
the same in repair agreeable to law 15 feet wide, in room Michl.

house in the Town of Eddyville on Monday the 25th day of

On the motion of Lewis SASSEEN his ear mark is orderd. to be re-
corded in the Words following: "Lewis SASSEEN, Ear mark, - a Crop
off the right ear, Slit in the point on the underside of the left
ear July 22d. 1814.           Lewis Sasseen.

On Motion of Wm BIRDSONG Shff Caldwell County Isaac GREER is Sworn
as his Deputy who took the Several Oaths reqd. by the Constitution
& Several laws.

On Motion of Sally GREGORY Relict of Thos. GREGORY decd and Thos
GREGORY one [of] the heirs of Said decedant, and with the leave
of the court letters of administration is (sic) granted them upon
the estate of Thos GREGORY Senr decd. upon their giving bond and
Security as reqd. by law

JULY 1814, p. 338--
the Penalty of £500 Payable to Commonwealth of Kentucky Conditioned
according to law. Whereupon It is Orderd. that Licence in due
form be granted him to Solemnize the Rites of Matrimony according
to the form of the church to Which he belongs between? any Person
in the State of Ky. Who shall produce a licence pursuant to law
directed to any authorized minister of the Gospel.

Ordered that Colo. Wm BIRDSONG Nicholas KEATING James GREER,
Francis LANDERS [or SANDERS?] Thos ROGERS Philip DAVIS be appointed
Patrollers in and for County of Caldwell

Upon Examination of the Jail for Caldwell County as repaired by
N CRAVINS the undertaker therof the Court receives the Same as
being performed agreeable to Contract, and It is further ordered
that the Shff a Collector of the County levy for 1813 Pay Over
the amt. as levied for the purpose of defraying the reparing
(sic) of the Same in pursuance of a former order made herein

Wm BIRDSONG Shff of Caldwell County enters his protest against
the present Jail for Said County as being Sufficient to hold
Debtors & other pers[ons] Who may be Committed to Said Jail
