Verse 15 illustrates "The echo principle". This is the explanation of this:

    A central theme in Obadiah's prophecy is what one man calls "poetic justice". We have called it "the echo principle" in this lesson. Actions have certain consequences. What you do and say will echo back to you.

"As you have done, it will be done to you. Your dealings

will return on your own head" (Obadiah 15). This is a

basic principle of life.
