One of the true Due South classics, this episode's fast-paced, literate script whisks us from one side-splitting scene to another before we can catch our breath; arguably, about 20% of the best Duesies from the whole series are packed into this one hour! Benny and Ray find themselves protecting important anti-Mob witness Ian MacDonald, who alas, happens to be a pathological liar. The Mobsters are hot on their trail, and a series of misadventures ensue as things go from bad to worse for our heroes. Ian's adept at pushing all of Ray's buttons, and we have many an affectionate laugh at seeing poor Benny swallow Ian's fibs hook, line, and sinker. Everything die-hard Due Fans love most is here; Ray's at his irascible, cantankerous best, Benny's dutifully trying to help all and sundry, the guest character is both engaging and sympathetic, and the episode brilliantly pokes good-natured fun at Canadian and American misconceptions about each other. This one is not only a "don't miss"; it's a great episode to show to friends, to get them hooked on Due South!

When McDonald steals the Riv and leaves Ray and Ben on the roads,Ray shows how heated he's becoming and he loses his cool when Fraser reveals where his missing shoe is.

And finally he has to personally undergo the task of destroying his beloved car to save the man that stole it in the first place.Ray's face and body stance shows it all in this brilliant do or die finale.

I've probably watched this episode the most and I can't find one other from all four seasons that can beat it in entertainment.
