PAUL GROSS ON PRIME TIME
September 11, 2009 - Paul Gross is returning to television this fall in the new ABC series "Eastwick" which is a remake of the '80s movie "The Witches of Eastwick". Gross plays the devil (played by Jack Nicholson in the movie). Critics have not been kind to this new show, but then they weren't very kind to Due South either.
Thanks to Belinda for this tip!

JAN RUBES PASSES AWAY
June 29, 2009 - Jan Rubes (Dr. Mort Gustafson) passed away today. He was 89. Jan was a founding member of the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto and had a long and distinguished career in opera. He began acting in the 1960's and appeared in numerous television productions. Moviegoers perhaps remember Jan best from the Harrison Ford movie Witness where he played the grandfather. The role helped open up Jan's movie career. Jan joined the cast of Due South in the 3rd and 4th seasons as the opera singing coroner.
