Draco

Draco, a friendly young Siberian husky, took over the role of Diefenbaker, Fraser's deaf and donut-stealing wolf, in the final season of due South. Draco appeared to be a quick learner; he was only seven months old when he got the job in February 1997, and was working on the set two months later.

His handlers, Rick and Gail Parker, had been in the business for 20 years, and had trained dogs, cats and birds for the entertainment industry.

Draco is a little smaller than his predecessor Lincoln, and has a cinnamon-colored layer of fur along his back. He has light brown eyes. The action and stunt sequences were done by his littermate, Cinder, a female Husky.

After Due South ended, Draco moved on to other series, such as Twitch City and Real Kids, Real Adventures. He passed away in late 2006 from lung cancer.
