I do most of the cooking at my house. While the bulk of my effort is simple good hot food, I enjoy experimenting with different cooking techniques when my wife is not around. I also experiment with different herbs and spices, but am not very good at it. The last few years have seen me trying to perfect home fried chicken

Weekends usually find me working out in my shop on one task or another.  But when it becomes necessary to spend time in the house, I usually spend it in the kitchen making bread loaves or pizza/calzone  dough.  A special thanks goes out to Ron Kaes, a fellow Airstreamer, for sharing pizza-making secrets with me.  However, in spite of his online coaching, I have yet to spin the dough over my head!

Inspired by a friend from Texas, I had been working at smoking dry-rubbed meat, but have more or less stopped since my wife lost her taste for it during pregnancy.   I have another friend who dabbles in smoking, and frying chicken with a smoker/grill/fryer combo package. One day I pulsed him to see what culinary delights he had perfected. He obviously has more excitement when cooking than I do.
