Woodwork
In 1967,
Airstream used American Cherry for the International line (like mine), and Ash
for the standard Landyacht. While some minor repairs were necessary, the
bulk of my woodwork stood the test of time quite well, and only needed a new
finish coat to make it look brand new.
All the
woodwork was cleaned with a weak solution of Spic&Span,
and treated to Minwax Satin Polyurethane (mineral
spirit, not water-based) applied by brush.
