There is no Airstream
dealership close to where I live. But
the void for general RV-type items was successfully filled by the local,
non-Airstream Reed Camper Sales. They are a great group of people. Other than upholstery done by a local shop,
the only work subbed out so far has been replacement of the air conditioner’s
compressor. A fine job was done by Moseley’s Heating
& Cooling. I recommend them if
you live in the North Alabama area.
But for the occasions where a part had to be
ordered for whatever reason, the following vendors, in no particular order, are
who I dealt with (click on image to visit site):
Mr. Ambruso provided excellent email support to
my wife as she worked to verify window measurements. |
|
PPL had a great price on the toilet & water
pump. Excellent resource for general
RV items. |
|
Randy is a good guy, and knows his stuff. |
|
Custom cut foam for the center twins. |
|
Steve is a great guy to work with. He has been known to have items made in
response to parts requests. |
|
“The
largest ‘Vintage’ Airstream parts headquarters on the planet.” The telephone staff is pleasant &
helpful. Shipping & Handling charges
may catch you off-guard though. |
|
Light bulb (or is it “Lightbulb”?) supplier. Their normal inventory includes two of my
hard-to-find interior light bulbs. |
And
of course, I was a frequent visitor to Ace, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and a host of local
auto parts stores.
