Day 22
With the masons’ scaffolding out of the way, Shawn
& his crew were able to nail a serious amount of wood up

It was really cool to watch a bunch of guys who each
individually knew what they were doing work well as a team.

Randall demonstrates that checking for the crown is
still an important part of quality construction.

The
weather started out fairly cool, but ended up being good framing weather. By the end of the day, the crew had not only completed
all interior & exterior walls, but had tied old & new construction
together.

Meanwhile,
inside, Number 1 son made good progress cutting out the pressboard underlayment
in what will become the hallway to the new addition.
Of course I’m joking, but he has been really
helpful with several aspects of Project Big Tub.

The
builder tells me that both the masons and the framers will be on site tomorrow. I wish I could be here to watch like I was
today, but my day job beckons…
