When two farmers illegally sell produce on the side of the road, Barney orders them to move to a location further from town. The farmers defy and intimidate Barney, and he drives away scared.

1. Why didn’t the farmers take Barney seriously at their first encounter?
2. Why didn’t Barney tell Andy what was troubling him?
3. Andy tried to enhance Barney’s self-esteem by convincing the farmers that Barney was a coldhearted killer. Did this help or just make matters worse?
4. Why did the two farmers finally decide to move?
Barney: “Do you see this badge? It says that I’m sworn to uphold the law. You’re both a lot bigger than I am, but this badge represents a lot of people who are a lot bigger than either one of you. Now are you going to get moving?”
