About the Toolbox

The Toolbox is a project I'm working on in my spare time. It is a small but growing collection of utilities designed to solve problems in various scientific and technical fields.

It's far from complete, but maybe you'll be able to use the utilities that are here.

Geodesy and Geography

A few small tools for solving simple geodesy- and geography-related problems. The utilities available include:

• Coordinate and Datum Transformations: Convert between geographic and UTM coordinates and between geodetic datums.
• Geographic Distance Calculator: Determine the distance between a pair of points on the Earth's surface.
• Geographic/UTM Coordinate Converter: Convert between geographic and UTM coordinates.

GIS and Mapping

Tools for GIS and mapping applications.

• Adding GeoTIFF Information to TVA-produced DRGs: A Windows-compatible program to correct an omission from DRGs produced by the TVA.

Software Development Utilities

Tools for various software-development-related tasks.
