Ironwork Coffee Table
It's flattering that some have inquired about buying some of the pieces featured here. However, this is only a hobby for me, I don't sell my work, and I work far too slowly for your satisfaction.
In the summer of 2007 I completed a glass-top coffee table that features a piece of cast iron set in an inner frame. This table was inspired by an all-metal example belonging to a dear friend. My table is constructed of black walnut and is approximately 39"x28"x18".

After cutting the material for the table, I dry fit
it...
...dissassembled it and prefinished the parts...
...and reassembled it. The finish is several coats of
Waterlox Original. This is my first experience with Waterlox, and it's turned
out really well.
