Ironwork Coffee Table

Not for sale

It's flattering that some have inquired about buying some of the pieces featured here. However, this is only a hobby for me, I don't sell my work, and I work far too slowly for your satisfaction.

In the summer of 2007 I completed a glass-top coffee table that features a piece of cast iron set in an inner frame. This table was inspired by an all-metal example belonging to a dear friend. My table is constructed of black walnut and is approximately 39"x28"x18".

[First dry fit]After cutting the material for the table, I dry fit it...

[Prefinished parts]...dissassembled it and prefinished the parts...

[The table assembled]...and reassembled it. The finish is several coats of Waterlox Original. This is my first experience with Waterlox, and it's turned out really well.
