Iredell County Obituaries

The Landmark (Statesville, NC) August 13, 1891.

[The obituaries in this issue were very hard to read.  I've put a question mark where I couldn't make out the characters. There was one entry where I couldn't make out a name at all.]

DIED

Suddenly at his home near Newton on the 5th last, Mr. Monroe Sigman, aged 80 years.

At his home in Lincoln county on the 24th of July, Mr. John H Wood, aged 81 years.

In Shiloh township, July 28th, of typhoid fever, Mr. Brantley Ingram, aged about ?8 years.

In Shiloh township on the 6th last of typhoid fever, Mr. M. F. Edwards, aged ?? years. Mr. Edwards had been section master on the Western North Carolina Railroad for about 5 years.

In Shiloh township, July 30th, Dalton, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. J W Miller.

In Alexander county on the ?th last, Mr. ??? Sherrill. Mr. Sherrill lost a leg about ? years ago and became crippled in the ??ther before he died.

At the home of her mother in Bethany township, on the 25th of June, Miss Bettie Gibson, aged 47 years.

OBITUARY

Died, at her home in Bethany township, on the ??th of July, Mrs. Harriet Gibson, widow of the late Alfred Gibson, aged 8? years. She had been a member of Concord Presbyterian Church for 60 years. She was a kind neighbor and a good mother. She will be missed at her ???????.
