Athlete and artist, Diane is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We have a great time sharing our art and riding our bikes all around the north Alabama area. She's a two-time medalist in the Masters National Championships so I have to stay in shape to keep up with her.

Diane inspired me to begin Galleria d'Arte and she's doing a hand-painted version of the same scene, part of which is visible in this image. She also insisted I complete Innocent Shadow when I had the idea but didn't want to spend the time on it.
Diane cares for her diabetic cat Tara, who needs a shot every morning and evening, and she's helped many other pet owners with diabetic cats. She's not technical by nature but when her cat needed her she did what it took to become an expert; she continuously balances dosage and diet to keep Tara healthy.
What's Diane doing?

This is Diane's version of Pradzynski's beautiful La Cremerie, which she painted on a 6' x 4' canvas. Hers is a remarkable painting that I actually prefer over the original. Though I'm all thumbs I did manage to build the frame and stretch the canvas for her and it still seems to be holding up.

Moonlight Lullaby
Requested for a charity auction, Diane turned this piece out with a short turnaround. It's small but one of my favorites.

Diane sold this painting for $200 at an auction and has accepted a commission for another version. She hopes one day to write and illustrate children's books. One idea she has is for a book about a diabetic cat. A close friend has two diabetic children and she sees a need for books that can help children become more comfortable with diabetes.
