The Clarkson Covered Bridge 54 is a 54 mile loop to the Clarkson Covered Bridge, traveling counter-clockwise and skirting the Bankhead National Forest to the west. The route is fairly hilly with two climbs. The covered bridge rest stop has restrooms and water, a store is located a few miles after the bridge. Directions to start: This ride begins and ends at the high school in Falkville which is located a mile west of I-65 south, about 40 minutes from Huntsville, five miles south of Hartselle.

From I-65 take exit 322 and turn right on CR-55, travel 0.9 miles. Turn Left on US-31. Travel 0.1 miles and turn Right on W 1st Street and travel 0.3 miles. The school will be ahead on the left.
