The Clarkson Covered Bridge 54 travels to the Clarkson Covered Bridge, skirting the Bankhead National Forest to the west. The route is hilly with one long climb. The covered bridge rest stop has restrooms, water and a soda machine; a store is located in West Point 4 miles after the bridge. Directions to start: This ride begins at the Falkville High School which is located about 40 minutes from Huntsville. Falkville is a mile west of I-65, 18 miles south of I-565, 5 miles south of Hartselle.

From I-65 take exit 322 and turn Right on CR-55, travel 0.9 miles. Turn Left onto US-31 for one block and take an immediate Right on W 2nd Street. Travel 0.3 miles, a large parking lot in front of the school will be on the left.
