An Oak Tree Stands,
Solitary, in an open field,
Watching the seasons change
As it grows upon its hill
With little green blades of grass
Springing up between its toes...
Reaching for the sky,
It drinks in the last rays of daylight
Under a wispy Moon,
Breathing with the gentle twilight wind
An Earth-song of timelessness.
Nature holds Her head high
And reminisces as She adds
Another brush-stroke to Her canvas...

Eternal Light,
In Thee I find
That which illumines
The darkest mind
And makes to sing
With voice sublime
The oldest Master
Or youngest child.

Gemstones that glow
In darkness cloaked
As fire behind
The eyes of youth
Are symbols of
The Light evoked
To face Death's Shadow
In droplets of the Morning's Dew.

You may choose from the following cover colors: Light Gray, Medium Gray, or Medium Green (shown on the first poetry page). None of the illustrations are included in this edition (but feel free to download them from here!). It is my hope to be able to add some of these graphics in the next printing (3rd ed.).
