Ah yes...we are definitely getting there. This cell phone photo isn't high quality or color-accurate but it is evidence the Beetle is going to have a very impressive new paint job!

As I suspected might happen, the guys at the paint shop have sorta adopted the Beetle. When I checked on it today the guys had just finished spraying the paint. I was told they had taken it on themselves to do a "little extra" work on the car to finish out a few blems. Once they saw the interior they decided this was a "serious" project and was worthy of first-class paint. Their professional pride is obvious and I think they were enjoying driving the Beetle around the lot, too.

Toga White is a beautiful color, very similar to the various pearl whites that are in vogue these days.

I should have the car back in my hands in a few days after the paint crew does their final tweaking and buffing. Final assembly will follow soon after--I have all the bits-n-pieces in hand to finish the project.
