The interior continues to come together. Yesterday evening included installing the new retractable seatbelts and refurbished original rear belts. The parking brake/heater control assembly was completed and finished off with a new boot. The floor heater vents were refinished and installed along with the newly painted bulkhead and heater vents under the rear seat.
But the center of attention of the new interior has to be the fabulous "new" steering wheel. The old wheel was stripped, sanded, primed and repainted, and a new horn ring was installed along with the original Wolfsburg Crest center cap. The horn circuit even works! Paint to freshen up the seats has been purchased so hopefully they will be ready to go back in the car soon. The interior is rapidly reaching completion except for the doors. The remainder of the dash wiring has been completed and the new electric windshield washer tank, pump and switch will go in soon.
