Compared to photos of a few days ago it may look like the project is going backwards. On the contrary, we are making great progress!

The body has been completely stripped in preparation for paint. I will do all body and prep work on the exterior. The plan is to have the car ready to roll into the body shop's booth with only exterior paint needed.

The headliner was washed and painted with SEM vinyl paint and it turned out very nicely. Notice the door posts in particular which were brown with stains. It is very difficult ($$$) to get a new headliner installed that has all the little tricks, features, and fit of the original. I'm happy we are able to save this original item. I will reglue some edges that are loose and it should come very close to looking new. The sun visors were also painted.

The original headliner appeared to be a bright white under some parts I took out. The new color is Phantom White which is close to the original Toga White body color to which we are returning. The two whites should play very nicely together.

The door jambs, interior of doors, and metal dash parts have been painted Toga White. The doors are ready to rehang and we are ready to begin exterior body work and paint prep.
