Walter's 1969 Beetle

The Beetle has a radio that reportedly has not worked in a few decades. I was hoping it could be resurrected just for grins since it is an "All Transistor" AM-only radio. We are talking pre-8 Track era! But alas, it is dead. There are some parts missing from the tuner, and I couldn't get it to emit even the slightest hum. It'll go back in the car to fill the hole in the dash and to remind us of the good 'ol Sixties.
The front of the Beetle is almost reassembled. All that's left are a few odd-n-ends and bleeding the brakes. A full electrical check will follow and any smoke that escapes will be put back in the wiring. Even though I like the clean, bare mechanical look of the compartment, I suspect Walter is going to want some nice carpeting. We intend to oblige.
