The front of the car is now empty, ready for final paint prep. While cleaning the gas tank, some pinholes were discovered in the bottom near the fuel tap. The tank will be off to a radiator shop for repair, then painted.
The axle beam underwent a deep cleaning and was sprayed with tractor paint. The original spindles and brakes have been retired since they will be replaced with rebuilt spindles and new disc brakes. Looks like all the tie rod ends and ball joints can be reused. Hopefully a little tweaking of the steering box will remove any excess play.
