I've been on line w/Bob Hayden about making my Barnegat Bay Sneakbox a better skullboat.I've used it for the last 9yrs by sculling w/ a long bent oar off the port quater staying hidden behind the spray screen.I think I can be more effective by getting the oar out the stern.Bob's been helping me alot w/ position. I understand that there's several options on sealing the oar hole. The oarhole on my boat will be near the waterline.Bob favors a metal flang bolted to the stern w/ a neoprene sleve. He mentioned a metal sleve & one made of plastic.Got any suggestions or feedback.I want to kill birds & stay dry.Mickey.
