One of my bird reference books seems to indicate that hybrids of our more usual pochards (Cans and Redheads) are more likely to be seen than an accidental Common Pochard (a Eurasion Species).

Still, they are out there. It would be nice to get one of those unusual birds whether is a hybrid or a Common Pochard. I will look carefully next season as I have tons of Cans around. If there is a Pochard lurking, I'll have a decent chance at it.
