The Green
Hat was a popular property adapted by the playwright from his bestselling
novel. It was already a hit in New York with Katherine Cornell in the
role and would later be filmed twice in Hollywood with Greta Garbo and
Constance Bennett. Although the London production was less successful
and dismissed by reviewers, Tallulah's fans loved it and were especially
enamored with the beautiful lingerie that she sported in several scenes.
