I would like to thank my friend Mark Abernathy for the use of photographs from his vast Dorothy Dandridge collection. Without him, I'm afraid this might have been an all-text site!

Biographical Information   I highly recommend Donald Bogel's book Dorothy Dandridge: A Biography (Amistad Press, 1997). It is an exhaustive work and I'm sure it will go down as the definitive biography.
