pickup trucks

i don't like pickups.
i won't even call them pickup "trucks" anymore, trucks are big, huge vehicals that drawfe even the largest pickup, the term "truck" was stuck onto pickups years ago, in an attempt to make them sound better, the term Truck is used by pickup owners, so they can delude themselves, and inflate their ego when they drive them.
pickup's have effectivly two purposes,
1, to haul stuff in,, pickups are ideally suited to hauling bulky cargo in the back
2. to pull trailers, pickups are also very good at hauling trailers,, tougher suspension in the back permits this.

so why do i hate pickups?
well, in the regard of a pickup being used to haul stuff, or pull trailers, i have absolutly no vice against it, however, when one drives around and begins to count the pickup ratio to cars, it becomes obvious that the vast majority of pickup owners do NOT haul things in them OR use them to pull trailers. That is why i hate pickups,

 i hate the waste of metal, i hate the fact that they block my view, both in front of me and at intersections. i hate the HIGH set lights that blind you when they are oncoming traffic, i hate the BIG FLAT rear windows, that along certain roads and time's of day reflect the whole sun into my eyes.

 I've seen lil KIDS in the bed of a small pickup, unprotected,, while daddy and mommy were sitting in the a/c cab.. why would a father do such a dangerous thing to his children?.. because daddy had to have a friggen pickup, instead of a much more pratical car. i see this so often it isn't funny, and of course there are extended cabs,, which CAN sit 4 or more,, but the big one's are expensive, and the small one's absolutly suck.

 I've seen lowered pickups, lowering it makes it even more useless as a pickup, ,thou the owner knows this, so after they lower it, they tarp the bed over, so it is again totally useless as a pickup now. What gets me is the why kids think this is cool? a pickup is the absolute worst handling vehical in the world, light in the back, makes the rear end spin out to easily, and frankly they are ugly as hell. i remember once it iced over here, and i drove my car upto a big flat area and praticed spinning out on this sheet of ice. it was fun.. there was a BIG pickup there, he couldn't do anything on the ice, he would loose control before he could get any decent speed, it was great fun watching him putter around the ice with jealous eyes.

 on the opposite end, i've seen raised pickups, on huge "groundhog" tires, this again makes it totally useless as a pickup, it even seems to make a poor recreation vehical, as i saw one once take a U turn.. SLOWLY, and the friggen thing ended up on two wheels while doing it, if that person EVER had to do any type of emergancy manveouring, he would so easily just tip over.. of course something that big you dont' manveour right? you instead just Drive THROUGH the car in front of you, kiling everyone inside instead, right?? A vehical this large has NO purpose, other then to express oneself, to express one's self at a large comprise to safty, and sever annoyance at other drivers, is plain stupid, i would love to see these teenage fucks with there ground hogs, banned from public roads.

 i've seen pickups without a trailer hitch..  wtf??? WHY buy a pickup if your not going to put a hitch on it. of course these pickups never had anything in the back either.. it's the same old thing. . big gas guzzling view blocker, with one person inside and nothing in the back,, only bought the pickup because it's "cool".. because it's FUN to be bigger then everyone else,, to feed an ego.

 Some of you reading this may feel i'm exaggerating,, that i'm making a big deal out of nothing, but i've been counting pickups,, rougly 1 out of 4 cars, here is a pickup, now i live in an area that is a mix of high technology, and rednecks.. there is NO way that all those pickups are being used as they were meant to. they aren't even good for grocerys.. what if it rains? the VAST majority of the pickups i see do NOT haul things in them OR haul things behind them, and in these cases they are very nearly the least pratical vehical that someone could purchase.
 to those that actually Utilize a pickup, Kudos to you. I do have a few friends who own pickups, some of them i know actually use it for hauling stuff.. <some i know DON">.. If any of em get upset at reading this.. frankly i don't give a damn.

I have no problems with large cars.. or even SUV's.. but pickups.. are rampantly becoming abused as a popular means of transportation, before purchasing a pickup.. think twice about it, think how much more comfortable you'll be in a large car, something with a good independent suspension, rather then the crappy leaf, depedent suspension built into most pickups.
