Banned Paintballs at Mt Doom!  These balls will not be allowed to be on our property so don't even put them in your car!  INERTIA, MONSTER BALL, ANARCHY, VL-PAINTBALLS, JT-TACTICAL, FREEDOM, HEMORRHAGE and RECON.  MOST ALL BRASS EAGLE , JT BRANDS and paintballs that come in a bucket - ARE BANNED!!!  Why???  These brands leave a permanent oily and non-washable stain on equipment, clothing, cars and property that turns white then black in time!  It will ruin your (and our) markers and goggles.  Also these brands sit in warehouse shelves so long they become VERY HARD and will not break on impact.  Imagine being shot dozens of times as the balls bounce off your poor body!!! It's like being pelted with rocks!  The man you are bouncing balls off of then hoses you down to get even!  Young and first time players do not need this level of pain and they won't return to ever play again.  What good is it shooting an opponent that you cannot eliminate because your paintballs bounce off!  OUCH!!!  Until these brands comply with industry standards we don't want their balls around here nor do most other fields.  Call first before you BYOP or you can buy at the field just as cheaply.  This policy has been openly welcomed by hundreds of local players and organizers in our state.
DO YOUR OWN AT-HOME TEST ON PAINTBALLS!  --- You can do your own test at home to determine which paintballs are not allowed.  Pour a glass of water and drop one of your paintballs into the glass.  If it floats to the top then it's full of OIL!  Remember your science class where they taught you that oil is lighter than water and will float to the surface?  Well that is what's happening here.  Take your test one step further and squirt the paint into the water and stir if up good.  If the paint mixes with the water readily then it's water based and is good to go.  If the paint clumps up and floats up to the top forming a oily skim and staining the glass THEN IT'S FULL OF OIL!!!  If you have oily paintballs you should then take the entire box over to your garbage can and dump them out!  This oily paint will gum up your marker, stain your clothing (as well as everyone you shoot at), ruin your goggles and everything it gets on.  The oil in this paint will kill the grass and other plants is environmentally unsafe to use.
Want to know something else?   Dogs eat these oil filled paintballs like they were candy because that oil inside is made from FISH!  The poor dog then experiences stomach distress and has diarrhea for days.  The Mt. Doom dogs implore you to NOT bring this stuff to our field.  If we find it in your hopper you will be asked to sit out the game.  If you cannot come up with some other paintballs you'll just have to sit out.  We don't want this crap on our field bunkers and forts and equipment nor do we want this crap coming out of our doggies even if it is rather colorful.  Please help us with this effort by telling your friends and playing companions to stay away from paintballs that cause everyone such grief.  Sure they are cheap but they perform so poorly and ruin so much of your stuff that you are going into debt when you buy it in the first place.  Pass the word so players are not disappointed when they arrive here with paint they can't use.  When these companies come into compliance with the rest of the industry we will allow them back on our field.

These are but a few of the culprits out there so test paintballs if you are in doubt!!
