The Crows-- At dusk I drove the quad-runner back to the "burial pavilion" to place a heavy rope handrail along the trail.  When I shut off the engine and started into the woods I was scared out of my wits by huge flapping wings in the trees just overhead.  Wings that sounded like leathery bat wings flapping through the leaves.  Giant black shapes fluttered a few yards to nearby tree limbs and settled back down to watch me while I went inside the pavilion next to the green adult coffin that in the last rays of sunset cast a phosphorescent glow.  The crows flew back into the trees overhead but were silent.  I recall the acidic odor of their droppings all over this section of woods.  When I returned to the quad-runner I was astonished by the number of large black shapes dotting the trees above.  There were hundreds of them in just this tiny section of woods.  I drove up to the Twin Towers and took the photos below.  Literally hundreds of crows were pouring into the woods from all directions and were all eerily dead silent.  I have never seen crows that didn't noisily squawk and caw continuously so these silent birds gave me a lot to think about.  I later discovered that they congregate around the old coffin "mortuary" site out in the woods nightly in great numbers.  It is creepy that they won't fly more than a few yards away and return as soon as you depart.

It is my belief that the coffins are haunted by a pair of entities or spirits that follow both coffins wherever they go.  There is no knowing what the history of these two receptacles has been, but I have contacted professionals who have willingly accepted the challenge of researching them and very much want to monitor the EVP or electronic voice phenomenon and EMF (electromagnetic phenomenon) around these objects.  These modern day ghosthunters are very interested in spirits that follow objects.  It seems they are the most easily agitated types and therefore the chances of photographing them increases greatly.  Aggravating a spirit isn't advisable but this method often gets instant results that can be recorded electronically.     RETURN
