Mt. Doom Paintball & 24 HourGames held their first 24 hour scenario game on 05/08 with a most excellent recreation of RED DAWN.  Using Mt. Doom's natural terrain that provided the mountain for the Americans to hold and lowlands below for the Russians to invade the battle lines became clearly defined.   Saturday morning started out with thunderstorms but by game time the skies were clear and the sun returned.  Missions flowed and players discovered places in the woods that have never seen a paintball until this event.  Below you see just a portion of the crowd that gathered to hear their general give his morning speech before taking to the field for "GAME ON" signal.  At precisely NOON the horn blew and the game was on.  Thus began the union of Mt Doom and 24HG!

STARGATE  Goa'uld, Ori and Earth Scientist battled it out  on a distant planet during the 24HG Stargate SG1 game here in mid-March.  The weather was perfect with blue skies (just like Earth's!) and cool 60 degree days.  An excellent turnout showed up including players from Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia and of course Alabama.  The scenario team Hired Guns had to get used to MT DOOM… and the trip up the mountain over and over.  As I heard them say repeatedly…. Louisiana is FLAT!  We really enjoyed their company here during the weekend.
