Managed Information Technology Systems for a multinational partnership between Raytheon/Hughes, Daimler-Chrysler (DE), and Alenia (IT).  Worked on the MEADS program proposal with a multinational team of IT personnel, Managers and Engineers, from locations in the United States and Europe. Purchased, Maintained, and Managed all network Assets (Servers, Workstations, Routers, Hubs, Firewalls, Publications equipment, etc.).  Maintained both WAN and LAN connectivity between Huntsville (AL), Bedford (MA), El Segundo (CA), Rome (Italy), Munich (Germany), using Frame Relay and ISDN connections (WAN) and 100BaseT LAN. Administrated Windows NT Servers and Workstations and Lotus Notes Servers and Clients. Maintained and administrated a Sun Solstice FireWall-1 Server for Security of systems, SMTP Mail, and Internet Networking.  Duties included installation of SunOS and software, administration of accounts, networks, security, and printers.   Provided hardware support for Intel-based, SGI, and Sun Workstations. Maintained maximum network performance, throughput, and connectivity by using COTS software and hardware.  Provided both non-Classified and Classified Networks using Encryption Devices. Performed Network OS Architecture and Technical Support and Administration (Banyan VINES). Communications Analyst/Technician

Integrated Diagnostics Support Demonstration (IDSD)

CAS Inc., Huntsville along with HHB 1/7 ADA in Kaiserslautern, Germany

Member of IDSD team in Kaiserslautern, Germany; working directly for the Patriot Project Office and US Army.  Established and Maintained secure Satellite communications with Huntsville (SED), Orlando (Lockheed Martin), and Bedford (Raytheon) via Skydata Peripherals was my main task.  Lead Telecommunications and Network engineer for the project.  Established the Communications link by setting up satellite dish, configuring communications hardware, and integrating all IDS assets (voice, video, and data) in order to give secure communications from a remote, and mobile, site to several US locations.  Performed remote diagnostics support to and from a Patriot Fire Unit during field exercises.  Configured Satellite Modem, Transceiver, Multiplexor, and KIV-7 Encryption Device to operate in IDS environment maintaining maximum operation time, short set-up time, and ease of use for Soldiers.  Used TMDE equipment (Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Meter, and others) to perform several job functions, including systems diagnostics and communications between Patriot Fire Unit assets and remote locations.  Established networking for IDS, which included Satellite Communications, A.I./Expert Systems, Remote Maintenance Monitoring (RMM), and AVID audiovisual equipment.  Established remote communications via wireless modems to support data, audio, and video communications between Engagement Control Station, Patriot Missile Launchers, and Fire Unit Communications Officers.  Performed Field Exercises with HHB 1/7 ADA in order to prove IDSD’s capabilities and value, with complete success.  Taught/Trained soldiers how to use IDS and all equipment involved.  Established electronic mail communications, using Lotus cc:Mail, for IDS team using local German telephone and satellite system while connecting to multiple cc:Mail Post Offices OCONUS and CONUS.

Administrated CAS, Inc.’s entire computer network, hardware and software (300+ users).  Administrated both the LANtasic Network and the cc:Mail systems.  Trained at Tobin Wells, Ft. Bliss, TX for Integrated Diagnostics Support (IDS) of the PATRIOT missile system, including use of AVID remote video conferencing system, satellite communications, and mobile communications. Networked several computers in facilities (including: installing wiring, software, hardware, etc.).  Installed Phone System and administrated both the DIAL and ESSX systems for CAS, Inc.  Maintained all Routers, Post Offices, Gateways, Pipelines, ISDN terminals, etc for CAS, corporate network. 

 

Engineer Aide/Systems Analyst

I was employed at CAS, Inc., during summer and Christmas vacation while attending Auburn University and my senior year in High School (approximately 17 weeks per year).  Administrated cc:Mail and assisted in Network Administration.  Created Electronic Library for Diagnostic Manuals and Missile Systems Manuals using AutoCAD, Dbase III, and other applications.  Worked with classified documents and media, including operation and storage with no security violations.  Designed databases for missiles, missile systems, radar systems, and military aircraft for an on-line library system, using 4th Dimension (Macintosh) and Dbase. Managed inventory of all classified materials related to program.  Created reports and documentation for the Patriot Missile program office, always meeting deadlines. Directly supported U.S. Government and U.S. Military customers by creating databases to increase productivity and meet information needs.  Trained personnel on database systems, which I created and maintained.
