Regiment returned stateside 1956 on board the USS General Mitchell. 508th ARCT was first restructured into Co "D" 506 AIBG (Airborne Infantry Battle Group) than once again restructured into Co "D" 1st Battle Group 506 Infantry would be interested in contacting anybody that was in Co "D" in the aforementioned regiments. After training joined the 2nd Bn Parachute Regiment, till 1970. During that time he served two years at the Airborne Depot as a recruit instructor and then rejoined 2 Para as 11 Platoon Sergeant in D Coy. In 1970 went on a helicopter pilots course and after completion was posted to 664 Parachute Sqn Army Air Corps. He left the Army in 1979 and flew as a civilian pilot, worldwide, till retirement in 1995.
