08/18/2005: "Info from St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Hurst, TX"

I called the St. Andrew Lutheran Church this afternoon and talked to Ms. Sally of the church office. According to Ms. Sally, the check was sent to Singapore on July 13, and Ms. Sally said that they were afraid if the check was lost while in transit. It has not been cashed yet. She also mentioned that they were talking about stopping the check and I offered the possibility of sending the check to me, so we can save the international bank charge by asking my relative over there to hand it over to Mr. Tek Houw Tan or Pastor Steven Phang in Singapore. I will talk to Ms. Sally again on Monday or Tuesday.

As a note, I was puzzled by this coincidence. Both of the churches are a Lutheran Church and there is no precoordination between them. The only thing I could offer is my sincere thank for both the congregations of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Hurst, TX and All Saints Lutheran Church in Huntsville, AL. I had a chance to express it personally to Rev. Keith R. Cook when I met him and my colleague, Mr. Terry Sanders during the Cool Carnival at their Church on Agust 14. Rev. Cook is on the right of the pop-up picture.
