06/16/2005: "Dear Mr. President, Lukas needs your help to get a passport, Sir."

This is the SMS I received from Dr. Maria Tan in Singapore early this morning:

Lukas has been in the hospital for the past 3 days in 3 different hospitals trying to get MRI but not even one doctor would take the risk to provide a general anasthesia. That's why Lukas is going to Kupang to get a passport, then go to Singapore.

As far as I know there is no Stand-up MRI in Singapore. To clarify please contact Dr. Goh. CP# or email him. Tq.

For the accuracy of this info here is the Indonesian text:

Lukas sdh 3hr ber-turut2 di 3hosp coba MRI, tp tdk ada 1Drpun yg berani ambil resiko u general anasthesi. Jd Lukas plg Kupang buat Paspor, lalu ke Sin.

Setau sy tdk ada standing MRI. U jlsnya bapak bs hub Dr. Goh HP....or email him. Tq.

I thought there are some missing info here. At least we heard from Rev. Hani from the field what the real problem was. He couldn't breath. However, the most disturbing part was the info that Lukas has to go back to Kupang to get his passport. Couldn't they get an emergency passport in Surabaya? sad But well, may be others need passport too. I wish President SBY could ask his Justice Minister to provide an expedite passport,....but, hm, may be I'm dreaming.... After all Lukas is only a boy from Kiritana, ~30 km from Waingapu, and his family didn't have any money in the past 12 years for the transportation to go to Waingapu so they never took him to see a doctor. What else could I say? crying

But didn't they say that the President has an SMS number?
