} A man in a black trenchcoat and wearing a black hat slides into the
} room.  His head is hidden by the shadows.  He whispers, "Nobody saw me
} on the way in, but we don't have very long.  Why did you want to
} meet?"

} A plain-looking man dressed in street clothes whispers back, "I was
} told you were the one to ask my question."
}
} The man in the trenchcoat waits a few seconds, then replies, "Well?"
}
} The plain looking man whispers, "Why do Lego people have yellow skin?"
}
} The man in the trenchcoat trembles.  "Who told you to ask that?"
}
} The plain looking man whispers, "Nobody.  I noticed it this morning
} and asked my cell leader."
}
} The man in the trenchcoat tilts backwards slightly.  He seems to
} ponder the plain looking man for a few seconds.  "Alright, but you
} have to keep this quiet.  Unless I'm dead, nobody but me is to pass
} this on.  Clear?"
}
} "Clear."
}
} "Alright, then.  You know about the Patriot Act and the Department of
} Homeland Security?"
}
} Startled, the man in plain clothes replies in a normal voice, "Yeah,
} but what do they have to do with this?"
}
} "SHH!  Ever since they showed up, the Department of Homeland Security
} has been quietly removing people from the streets.  The numbers you
} hear are just the tip of the iceberg.  Millions of people have just
} quietly disappeared, and nobody noticed who took them.  Most of them,
} nobody cared about."
}
} "But what does this have to do with Legos?"
}
} "Be quiet and I'll explain."
}
} "Alright."
}
} "We're not sure why they've been taking these people, they seem to
} have no common themes, just random people, biased towards those with
} no connections with anything.  Our best guess is that they saw
} something they weren't supposed to see, possibly having to do with
} Area 51."
}
} "Isn't that just a myth?"
}
} "Oh, it's real, alright.  But quit interrupting."
}
} "Right."
}
} "Anyway, we managed to track the truckloads of people that left secure
} areas.  They kept turning seemingly at random, trying to lose anyone
} who might follow them.  It took over a year of following the daily
} truck before we saw where it went.  The Lego factory."
}
} "What?  That doesn't make any sense."
}
} "Look, I know you've asked Lego employees about your question."
}
} "What?  I thought you didn't know what it was."
}
} "Look, kid, I have to be very careful who I tell this to.  It's
} dangerous to even know it."
}
} "Alright.  What about them?"
}
} "What did they say when you asked?"
}
} "That they'd never worked on the people.  They said those were made by
} the night shift, and on a different machine from the one they worked."
}
} "And did you manage to contact anyone on the night shift?"
}
} "No."
}
} "That's because they're all Homeland Security goons.  They cover all
} of the windows, but we managed to find a crack in the roof to watch
} through.  The people are taken into the building and sent through the
} machine that's only used at night.  People go in one end, and Lego
} people come out the other."
}
} "WHAT?"
}
} "SHH!  The yellow skin is a byproduct of the shrinking and
} immobilization process.  It's the perfect way to make people
} disappear.  Children everywhere play with the toys, unaware that
} they're handling real people shrunk to toy size."
}
} "Dear lord..."
}
} "Remember, you can't tell anyone about this.  I was one of four people
} watching that night.  One was caught as we fled.  The other two
} vanished after they tried to tell the world about it."
}
} "But..."
}
} Just then, red and blue lights shined into the room and a siren
} sounded.  They heard a voice coming through a bullhorn.  "This is the
} police!  Come out with your hands up!  You are under arrest for
} stealing military secrets and treason!"
}
} You owe the Oracle an escape path.  Now.
