Up-And-Comers

From Blip magazine, volume 1, number 6 (July 1983), p. 14

Arcades: Here's a game with spectacular graphics, action that is complex but easy to learn, and Track-Ball precision controls. It's Atari's LIBERATOR. We think space games have kind of been forgotten with the introduction of humorous and adventure games. But LIBERATOR combines the speed of TEMPEST with the precision of MISSILE COMMAND. The result it totally original, and definitely not cute. Space games may be way out there, but they definitely are not on the way out.
