Below are some photos of Jeff Scott's KR2S project.
This is a frontal picture of my project a with the C-85 engine mounted and the left wing attached.
My project started it's life thinking it would grow up to be a KR-2. During
the initial building process the builder that started it added a 14" section
into the aft fuselage to stretch it to a KR-2S, used the streamlined KR-2S
top deck, but kept the smaller KR-2 tail. I don't have the luxury of the
longer legroom, but do get the cleaner looking fuselage. BTW, that is the
same plan that Roy Marsh used for his KR-2S.
This is a side view of the C-85 mounted to the Rand Robinson 0-200 engine mount.
This is a view of my instrument panel. The only thing that will change is that my airspeed indicator and fuel guages will be trading places back to where they started. I swapped places between them due to an interference problem with the forward hinging canopy (soon to be changed)
The tailwheel that I installed (I don't like the stock one), and a look at the tailwheel steering. Note: I can use this taller tailwheel and spring because I'm also using the Dan Diehl glass gear built to 6" longer than stock. This picture also contains a view of how my inspection panels are built by using an aluminum ring behind the cutouts.
A view of the exhaust system.
Cowling inlet scoop.
Jeff's plane is now flying. To see recent photos of Jeff's KR in flight, please visit JEB's KR Page at http://www.thuntek.net/~jeb/krpage.htm.
