Guntersville Lake or Lake Guntersville(whichever you prefer) starts at the upper end of Guntersville Dam and ends at the lower end of Nickajack Dam . All tributaries in between these two (2) dams help to form Guntersville Lake. Browns Creek,Town Creek,South Sauty,North Sauty , Roseberry Creek , Jones Creek , and other tributaries between these dams (including Goose Pond) flowing into the Tennessee River all form what is called Guntersville Lake. The entire lake is about 69,000 acres . All of the area around Guntersville ,Scottsboro , and Bridgeport (in Alabama) are part of the lake. I hope this helps..... Louis T.
