With all the rain and flooding we have had recently, a lot of logs and "junk" has floated up in the back of the sloughs around our cabin. (downriver of mallard) I had caught a lot of fish in the shallows at the time throwing a trick worm and other topwaters around the weeds and in the shallows. Well now that its been a couple of weeks since the flooding, some of the mess is still pretty thick in the back of the sloughs. With the water tempature rising do u think the bass will move out...or stay under that mess for cover. I caught a couple of really good fish throwing a rat over it all but some of it was too thick. I know there was fish there because i could see a school of minnows go under that stuff and then u could see them busting the shad under the scum. Any tips on how to get down to them....if there still there. I tried pitchin a jig in that junk but i kept losing them.
Thanks for any help, and good fishin
