Any specific times of the day been better? My catfish outings last year left much to be desired. I used chicken livers invariably because of convenience, and wonder if cut-bait is that much more effective? One jug-fisherman posting on NAFF last year swore by cheap red weanies soaked in minced garlic. I would have to think catfish will eat anything at times, because I have caught piles of them on liver in past years. It seems to me, based on inconsistent years of observation and effort, that the blues tend to stack up every year in late spring or early summer depending on weather. Any thoughts?
