Please don't start that nonsense again. Every study in the country of the stomach contents of stripers have shown the same results, 98% shad. Adult Stripers in Weiss don't even, wait CAN"T stay in Weiss from most of the year, water temps over 75 degrees is deadly to adult stripers. This is what affords us the chance to chase these great game fish in the rivers feeding Weiss for most of the year. If you want to place blame for a Crappie decline look to the fisherman that keep Crappie under 9". Alabama DNR did a stomach study of Weiss Stripers check their website at http://www.dcnr.state.al.us/agfd/fishsec.html#PICTURES and see for your self, but don't keep perpetuating this idea that stripers hurt other fish populations. It's been proven too many times that the introduction of stripers in a body of water has improved the populations of other species. Research Carters Lake for instance, do the homework & you'll see.
