Hello, If it were me and it is as often as i can get down to that particular pier(my favorite) when not on the east pass jetties, I would get me some sabaki bait rigs or if you know how make them your self, a drop rig with about 6 to 8 #10 golden hooks on it tied real close to the central leader, with the lead tied on at the bottom and catch your bait fresh off the pier ,if you have never done this just watch and learn there will always be someone bait fishing like this !!Right now they are catching live cigar minnows on the pier in close and also a lot of pop eye herring and alwies .The kings are slowly getting better and should be running good by the time you hit the pier!Since the yellow tails look a lot like the herring and other bait fish wouldnt hurt to try them and id be intrested in hearing how they worked.Anyway Hope you get spooled ...almost HA !! good luck!!
