I would put in at mcfarland park.......go across oneil bridge in florence and it will be on your left....for best results i would use live bait, shiners, shad, skip jack minnows...if ya can get it.....if you put in at mcfarlnd go to the left when you get out in the river.....good places to fish live bait are..1)around pilons to the left of old railroad bridge...2)go toward the dam to you see an island (jackson island) pull to the tip of the island and drift back towards mcfarland boat ramp....3)go up the barge canal towards the locks fish around the locks and between the little and big lock......if your interested in stripe or catfish, fish close to the dam but be carful for rocks....if you know when you plan to take this trip, i might be able to help you out further.....exp. if i can get some yellow tails....or ya want to catch some cats
